An unbelievable 6-1 win saw Barcelona through to the all-important quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League at Camp Nou earlier today. After losing 4-0 in Paris, the Spanish side finished 6-5 in aggregate in what was an outstanding comeback in the history of the tournament.
Paris Saint-Germain dominated possession but the Spaniards were too strong in the last 10 minutes of the game.
Barcelona took the lead in just the 3rd minute through a Luis Suarez finish in the penalty box. The visitors defended well to restrict Barca but an own-goal in the 40th minute saw the hosts half way through.
Lionel Messi made it three-nil after the break, taking the hosts ever so close to an exciting win. However, Cavani pulled one back with an exceptional finish in the 62nd minute of the game.
Neymar’s late double finish gave Barca hope in the 88th and 90th minute of the game. Sergio Roberto’s 95th-minute finish helped Barca to an unbelievable win at Camp Nou.
“This is a sport for crazy people, a unique sport. Any kid who was in the Camp Nou tonight will never forget this in their life. It was a torrent of feelings. I don’t cry – I would like to, but the tears don’t come out. But I enjoyed this as much as the rest; as much as those who cried,” said Luis Enrique.
