A second innings collapse resulted in Pakistan losing by an innings and eighteen runs to Australia in the 2nd Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground earlier today.
Nathan Lyon and Mitchel Starc burst through the Pakistan batting line up restricting them to 163.
Batting first, Pakistan posted 443, credit to Azhar Ali’s exceptional double century. In reply, well-constructed tons from David Warner and Steven Smith helped Australia to a mammoth score of 624.
In the second innings, all Pakistan could make was 163 for the loss of 10 wickets.
Pakistan fought well but the Aussies take the three-match series two nil. Steven Smith was announced Man of the Match for his excellent display of batting.
