As the three-day expedition came to a close, the racers and riders made way to the well-established racing track in the Commando Regimental training camp at Kuda Oya earlier today.
All competitors had their opportunity to test drive and examine the exciting new track while identifying their opponents and their starting lines for tomorrow finale.
First and foremost, the riders tested the track in ascending order, age-wise.
We are able to have a quick chat with Sri Lanka’s most promising rider Gayan Sandaruwan who disclosed his views about the brand new track.
“After my test drive, I understood that the track was the longest compared to other tracks in Sri Lanka. I believe that this would be a new experience for all participants. With Sameera Premaratne beside, i think i will have tough competition in the Mx250 event which will commence before noon,” he said.
As the bike events came to a close, the classic cars were introduced and tested successfully. They were followed by the speedsters who disturbed the dust, ending the entertaining day in absolute style.
Everything is in place for an exciting finish to this year’s initiative which may ideally stand as a steady platform in the years to come.
