Kumar Sangakkara’s Karachi Kings lost their second game in a row as Rilee Rossouw helped the Quetta Gladiators through to an impressive 7 wicket win at the Dubai International Cricket on Saturday the 11th of February 2017.
Safraz Ahamed made an unbeaten half-century as well.
Up front, the ever so talented Karachi top order failed to deliver but Ravi Bopara’s half century took them to 159 in 20 overs. Chris Gayle was dismissed for just 10. Captain Kumar Sangakkara got a good start but lost his wicket to a lost delivery.
In response, Sohail Khan took Karachi off to a splendid start, dismissing the three top order batsman for just 30. However, a well-constructed partnership between Rossouw and Safraz Ahamed saw the Gladiators through to an easy win.
Karachi will play their next game against the Qalandars on the 16th of February at Sharjah.
