A four-member Sri Lankan side is already in Nanates, France to compete in the all-important FIBA 3×3 World Cup scheduled to be held from the 17th to the 21st of June 2017.
An eight-player contingent was initially selected but the side was trimmed down to four. The four selected players are Roshan Randima, Sudesh Ahamed, Timothy Nithushan and Isuru Perera. All four players were part of the side that toured the Maldives to compete in the South Asian Basketball Championship.
Moreover, Sri Lanka ranked 19th in the world will take on Ukraine, Estonia, Qatar and Poland in Pool C.
First up, Sri Lanka will take on Ukraine on the 18th of June 2017.
