As an extended tournament comes to an end, the final of the Singer Schools Under-19 Twenty20 Cricket Championship is all set to be played between St. Peter’s College and St. Aloysius College at the Galle International Stadium later this afternoon.
With equally talented players in the squad, both teams are quite evenly placed in terms of their win record this tournament.
They’ve outplayed several top teams to secure themselves a chance to be crowned Twenty20 Champions among several other schools in the island.
Nevertheless, this is surprisingly the first limited over final for St. Aloysius College. Led by Gihan Niroshan, they’ve certainly placed a different ball game to emerge on top.
