Title holders Chelsea got the better off Manchester United with a comprehensive 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge as table toppers Manchester City stunned Arsenal to extend their lead to eight points in the Premier League on Sunday. Manchester City fought hard to win 3-0 against the gunners.
After yesterday’s win, Chelsea are just a two points away from overtaking Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the title race.
Chelsea dominated the first half but both teams had their chances before the break. Alvaro Morata in the 55th minute with an incredible finish gave Chelsea the lead. They defended well in the dying moments to take all three points.
Meanwhile, Kevin De Bruyne gave Manchester City the lead in the 19th minute but the first half ended 1-0. Sergio Aguero made it 2-0 with a kick from the penalty spot. Alexandre Lacazette pulled one back for Arsenal but a late finish from Gabriel Jesus got the job done for the table toppers.
