Yet again, Himasha Eshan was restricted to finish behind China’s Hong Mi in the Men’s 100m event in the second leg of the Asian Grand Prix in Jianixn, China. Nimali Liyanarachi recovered from her setback in the first leg to finish with bronze in the recently concluded second leg.
Men’s 800m Gold Medalist in the first leg, Indunil Herath was placed 4th as Gayanthika Abeyrathne finished the Women’s 800m event behind Nimali Liyanarachi. Gayanthika was placed 5th in the second leg.
Furthermore, Sumedha Ranasinghe was placed 6th in the Men’s Javelin Throw event.
Himasha Eshan managed to clock 10.47s opposed to Hong Mi’s 10.40s.
The third and the final leg is scheduled to be held on Sunday the 30th of April 2017 in Taipei City, Chinese Taipei.
