In the recent Indian Premeir League clash between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab, the West Indian power-house Christopher Henry Gayle scored the fastest century of this year’s edition. His 57 ball 117 helped the Royal Challengers Bangalore through to an easy 138 run win.
Gayle’s thunderous hitting took the Royal Challengers Bangalore to a massive first innings score of 226/3. Despite being out of touch for a while, Gayle was in a mood to thrash every delivery over the ropes. He managed to get the better of the aggressive Mitchell Johnson smashing 20 off the second over. Keeping up with the rhythm, Gayle kept smashing the ball all around the park.
“I missed the last game, spent the day in bed, so I was fresh. I’m a Cristiano Ronaldo fan and I told them if I got a hundred, I’d celebrate like him,” said Gayle.
Gayle has continuously shown his support by tweeting about the Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo often. This extra-ordinary performance from Gayle could only be the trigger to a series of similar celebrations.
