Monaco got the better of Manchester City by winning on away goals to qualify for the all-important UEFA Champions League quarter finals on Wednesday the 15th of March 2017. The match concluded 3-1, 6-6 in favor of Monaco in aggregate.
Early goals in the 7th and 29th minute from Mbappe and Tavares lifted Monaco to the top but Sané’s 71st minute finish helped Manchester City regain control. An impressive 77th minute goal from Bakayoko sealed the game for Monaco.
Meanwhile, UEFA lately announced the quarter final fixtures with Bayern Munich playing Real Madrid and Leicester City drawn with Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish sides remain favorites but Bayern will look to turn the tables around with talent and experience in the tank.
