As we head to the end of the qualifiers, twenty eight out of the thirty two qualifying nations have clinched World Cup berth with Russia qualifying as hosts. The qualifiers began on March 12, 2015 and only four games remain, two intercontinental playoffs and two European playoffs.

Italy is in state of high tension after the 1-0 first leg defeat to Sweden in Stockholm on Friday.
“We are Italy and, if we qualify, I would like to be able to say that we did it by playing football. I don’t know what sort of game it will be but I hope it will be played in the correct spirit,” said the Italy coach Gian Piero Ventura.

Moreover, for the first time in history, four arab nations have cemented their place in the world cup. Morocco and Tunisia joined Egypt and Saudi Arabia in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
