Pakistan found a bit of light in the darkness but the visitors were well in control with a healthy 254 run lead at stumps on Day 3 of the 2nd Test at the Dubai International Stadium last evening. Sri Lanka ended the day at 34 for 5.
Batting first, Dimuth Karunaratne helped Sri Lanka to a massive score of 482 in 159 overs. Karunaratne fell just 4 runs short of a well deserved double century.
In reply, Pakistan lost all 10 wickets for 262. Rangana Herath and Dilruwan Perera bagged three wickets each.
However, Sri Lanka lost 5 quick wickets for 34 in just 14 overs in the final session.
With the wicket deteriorating, Sri Lanka will look to add 50 more runs to take the lead past 300 on Day 4.
