St. Joseph’s College completed a stunning comeback to beat Isipathana College in the Milo Schools Under-20 Knockout Rugby Championship finals played at the Racecourse grounds on Saturday.
Joes comprehensively won the game 19-13.
St. Joseph’s College maintained a narrow lead and was in control at the halfway mark. They led 8-5 but went on to score from two unconverted tries and three penalties to extend their score to 19.
The Greens were never out of the game but never in control either. They scored from two unconverted tries and a penalty.
Chathura Seneviratne was adjudged player of the final for three well-taken conversions and a try.
